This sparkly Quayside Collection is inspired by wonderful Cornish fishing heritage. Once the scene of a very busy and lucrative pilchard industry, fish were stored and preserved in ‘Pilchard Palaces’. The remains of these historic palaces can be seen on the rocky shorelines in villages near Helen’s shop and studio. This design was inspired by the beautiful Rame Peninsula in SE Cornwall, in particular Rame Head. This prominent headland, with its ancient chapel, is often the last piece of land sailors see as they leave England, and the first they see when returning home. Introducing The Striped Linen Collection! Our new Striped Linen Collection, in a beautiful natural and dark blue linen stripe, reflects our nautical heritage here in Cornwall - it's classic with a contemporary twist. Stripes are one of the oldest patterns used for woven fabric. The pattern is made by alternating thread colours across the weave. Since linen textiles appear to be some of the oldest in the world, we felt that a Striped Collection has a natural harmony!
