Traditional Father's Day gifts like slippers, socks, DIY and gardening tools will continue to have their place on 18th June, for Father's Day this year. Here at Helen Round, we are a brand that likes to think differently. Our products are designed and made locally in Cornwall, UK. They are long lasting, and are made using small batch production from sustainable linen and bamboo towelling.
As a women-owned business, we've got some great ideas for Father's Day Gifts that might challenge some of the stereotypes!
1. Men Are Bakers
One survey (Britain Loves Baking) put the number of male bakers at 39% of all makers which is more men than play football (20%). Men who bake might find a linen bread bag, baguette bag or bowl covers very helpful to help store and serve bread, baguettes and buns.
Our linen bowl covers are perfect for letting bread rise, soaking fruit for cakes or keeping food covered until needed. Click here to see how our bread bags are made and watch local baker Chris at the Old Bakery, Cawsand making Sourdough!
2. Men Care About Personal Hygiene
More money is spent on male grooming products than ever before. Our bamboo bathroom products are super soft, contemporary and sustainable. Our new linen back scrubber, soap and shampoo bars, face cloths, shower mitt and striped wash bag make perfect Father's Day gifts for that little bit of self-care!

3. Men Sew
Sewing in all its forms is increasingly recognised as providing an antidote to a stressful life. Since the First World War, ex-servicemen have used sewing as a form of occupational therapy. We believe that benefits of Slow Stitching which is meditative and absorbing should be embraced by all.
Our new Slow Stitched Craft Kits have been developed with emerging textile artist Rebekah Johnston who explores themes of emotional wellbeing in her work. Suitable for adults, without prior experience, we offer a Mini Quilt Kit or a Coaster Making Kit which is designed to be hand sewn. The process of making each kit is intended to be calm, soothing and meditative. What better gift for a stressed Dad?
I hope you've found some inspiration in our three alternative Father's Day Gifts.
If you'd like something more traditional, we find this mug is always popular with Dads!
However you celebrate, we hope you have a wonderful Father's Day!
